Rishikesh - "There is some magic in the environment of this city, I came here so many times, but this place never disappoints me"
Rishikesh - This place has become like a second house for me, I come here 3 to 4 times a year is. This time I come here on a office trip with total of 30 people. People of different moods are spending time in their own way. We started from Noida on Friday night and we spent Saturday in rafting, I would tell you that story later.
Our camp is 300 400 meters from Marine Drive in Rishikesh, and Gangaji ghat is about 200 meters from the camp. There was no special plan for the next day after we did the rafting, so we decided that in the morning we will spend some time sitting on a ghat of Ganga. In my opinion, if you have come to this place (dev bhoomi) and you did not spend an hour here doing nothing on any ghat of Ganga, then it is useless to come here.
Most of the people slept till 11 pm to remove the fatigue of the last day's rafting, and I slept at 10 o'clock. Because of the cooler arrangement in the camp, the night weather was pleasant, and I did not know when it came to sleep. Pradeep woke up me around 6:15 am.
After getting up I kept my mobile and camera in the pocket and we started walking towards the Ganga ghat, I took the mobile so that our group member contact us if they want.
Let's meet to Mr. Camera Man, he is activated on self timer mode :D
NH-58 view from Marine Drive
After a short walk through VNA Resort reached the Ganga ghat. It was about 6:40 pm, some of our friends were already present here, these are the people who don't have any connection with nature, they came here only to fill the empty space of your phone's memory card with their selfie.
Ganga ghat's view from VNA Resort
And by doing so, these people had returned from here in a while. Well let them go, after these, only 4 of us were here, the fourth person was Gaurav, he is from our office but we did not know each other before, we introduced each other on this trip only.

We wanted to spend some time by putting our legs in the stream of Ganga and did the same. I had camera in my hand so I sat there and was capturing the pure nature's beauty as well in the form of pictures.
Hanging bridge at Marine Drive
Doing some random stuff :D
There would have been money for the people equal to paradise, but for me this place, this moment, was equivalent to the paradise, there was neither the desire to go from here to the other place nor did it need.
Relaxing me

After a while later, I came out of the water and walked to sit on the sand, suddenly my eyes fell on an empty glass bottle lying there, and you can understand what the bottle was. There was a question in mind that why people need to be drunk in such a beautiful place.
Mr. Bottle Man. (Made by the bootle thrown by someone, we disposed it off to a proper place later)
Well, I don't want to go in whom left this bottle here and all of these, the issue was that these bottles that were lying here were like eclipse on the moon.
I have an idea in my mind, why not do some good work in this free time, by good work I mean why do not these bottles be collected from this place and put them in the right place. I immediately took 2 bottles in my hand and kept it in one place and asked others, would they help me in this noble cause?
Ajit, Pradip, Gaurav immediately got ready, the best thing about the special friends is that he never asks why he has to do this, what will it benefit, etc. We started finding the bottles lying there, gathering in one place, and at the same time we were also enjoying the nature and taking the photos in between.
Tower made by stones. I am loving it :)
On a large rock, some people had made a small but beautiful tower by placing the stones on one by one, and Ajit was in the mood to put a stone on this tower and increase its height, then he got engaged in that work. And he even did it, after the stone planted by Ajit the tower was balanced, it was a great achievement for him. Life should be like this, in which we can find happiness in small things.
Ajit was trying to add more stone in it
After adding one more stone in it
Random pose :D
Many people here would have felt that nothing would be done by doing this kind of work by a man or by 4 people, my only answer to them, the change will be from the work of a single person but that person must exist in every person, if every single person comes with at least 2 bottles from such places, then plastic bottles will be eliminated from all the places very soon.
Since this ghat where we were sitting was not very big, after around 15-20 minutes of hardship, we had collected most plastic bottles, glass bottles and cannons of aluminum from that ghat and collected it on one place.
Now the problem was that we did not have any sack type thing in which all of them could be collected and dumped on a right place. So it was decided that by taking all these things in our hands, we will go up to the top and dump it in the right place. It took a little of trouble to take it with all hands, but we did it.
Trash we have collected
Well there was a lesson for us, for the next time whenever we come to such a place, we will bring together a plastic sack so that more garbage can be collected, and most importantly, anyone doing such work there should not be any hesitation, if alone, please look alone, because many times people need to start, after that start, people themselves get involved in that good work.
After putting all the garbage in right place, we wash our hands on one tap available nearby. It was about 8 o'clock in the morning, and we all need is a good tea, on the another side of river there was a tea shop, so we started walking on the same side.
After crossing the bridge we were sitting under the tea stall and having tea with papdi (a kind of snack), I like the combination of tea and papdi from my childhood, when I was in school we spend most of our spare time by standing on some tea stalls and having tea and papdi in our hands. Ajit called me and I came out from my memories of school, those days were golden days of my life.
Well, it is a different experience having tea while adoring Ganga maiya, we can see hanging bridge of Marine Drive in front of us, we can easily hear the sound of flowing water, the cost of tea is 10 rupees, but with a billion rupees view. Well, I was not sure how to go somewhere else from here but we have to go back to our camps, as the breakfast is to be served in half and hour and after breakfast, we will walk back to Noida.
The journey ends here, I hope you liked this trip. If you have any questions or suggestions in your mind, you can comment in the comment box below.
